I have reproduced this box in basswood with either a stained finish or red paint (like the original). In addition, I have added a paper label reading “This box belongs to Emma Neale” (a Shaker sister at the Mt. Lebanon, NY community). The box is finely hand dovetailed and a hand carved thumb catch to open the lid. It measures 4 ½ ” high, 11 ¼ ” wide, and 5 ¾ ” deep.
